The Samsung Metro 2252 was released in the market in July 2012. It was released as a basic model, and has basic features like SMS, Calling, Radio, Bluetooth etc. The phone is available in two color variants, which are silver and white.

Hardware and Software
The Samsung Metro 2252 is a very basic phone model and runs on a Java based operating system. The device is being powered by a 208 MHz processor. The memory of the unlocked cellphone can be expanded up to 32 GB of storing media such as video and audio, from the original 10 MB internal storage provided. You can also keep the call records and the phonebook is available, and you can store up to 1000 phonebook entries. A 3.5 mm jack slot is provided for inserting the headphones.

Design and display
The unlocked cellphone weighs just 79 grams with the dimensions of 113 x 46 x 13.9 mm. The user has to insert a mini SIM inside the phone to make it function. The screen size of the device is 2.0 inches, with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. The screen to body ratio is 24.2% with a pixel density of 102 ppi.

Camera & Battery
There is a VGA rear-facing camera available in the Samsung Metro 2252 for clicking photographs, capable of taking photos of 640 x 480 pixels resolution, and can record videos of QCIF at 15 fps. A 1000 mAh battery can be found used in the device, and being a basic phone model, the battery can last the device 1-2 days, and can provide up to 760 hours of talktime.
