The device is backed with a Quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 processor, while the chipset used in the device is Qualcomm MSM8974AA Snapdragon 801. The graphics are being powered by the Adreno 330chipset. TheBlackBerry Passport features 3 GB of RAM, which is used for running apps and multi-tasking between them. The unlocked cellphone features an internal storage of 32 GB for installing applications. The memory of the device can be expanded up to 128 GB via the use of an external SD card for storing media, such as music, video etc. The phone is operated by a Li-ion 3450 mAh battery for prolonged battery life.

It can also record videos of 1080p at 60 fps. There is a secondary 2 MP front-facing camera, available in the unlocked cellphone for clicking selfies and recording videos.
