It is backed with a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset and Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor. The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 comes with an internal storage of 8 GB for installing applications and 1.5 GB of RAM for running applications and multi-tasking between them. The memory is expandable up to 64 GB via the use of an external SD card for installing media such as audio, video etc. The phone is packed with a Li-ion 2600 mAh capacity battery for a prolonged battery life.

The screen size of the unlocked cellphone is 5.25 Inches, and it is a TFT capacitive display panel with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, with a pixel per inch density of 280. The dimensions of the unlocked cellphone are 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm, and its weight is around 163 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 features a 8 MP rear camera, capable of clicking photographs of resolution 3264 x 2448 pixels. The camera of the device is great, and it captures fine amount of details. It can also record videos of 1080p at 30fps. There is a secondary 1.9 MP front-facing camera to click selfies.
