The Motorola XT615 was released in the month of March, 2012. It was released as a budget device, and consisted of a basic design just like the other Motorola devices. The device runs fine, but it may face some slight lags while playing graphic extensive applications.

The phone runs on the Android Gingerbread v2.3.7 operating system, powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227A-0 Snapdragon S1 800 MHz Cortex-A5. The Adreno 200 chipset is used as the Graphical processing unit in the device. The device is packed with a Li-ion 1390 mAh battery, which can provide a good standby time with moderate usage. The Motorola XT615 consists of 512 MB of RAM for running applications and multi-tasking between them, and consists of 1 GB of internal memory for installing applications. The storage is expandable to 32 GB via the use of an external MicroSD card for storing multimedia items such as images, videos, audios etc.

The screen size of the Motorola XT615 is 4.0-Inches and is a TFT capacitive display, with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, with a pixel per inch (ppi) density of 245. The dimensions of the unlocked cellphone are 117.7 x 60.5 x 9.9 mm, with a weight of 123.6 grams.
The phone features an 8 Megapixel rear-facing camera, which is capable of capturing decent photographs, at a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The unlocked cellphone is capable of recording videos of 480p at 30 fps. A VGA front-facing camera is provided for video chatting and clicking selfies.
