The Motorola FIRE XT311 was released in the month of July, 2011. The phone was a touch screen smartphone, and consisted of a QWERTY keyboard for better typing experience. The phone was released as a budget device, and was packed with mediocre specifications.

The phone runs on the Android Gingerbread v2.3.4 operating system, powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 600 MHz ARM 11. The Adreno 200 chipset is used as the graphical processing unit in the device. The device is packed with a Li-ion 1420 mAh battery, which can provide a good standby time with moderate usage. The Motorola FIRE XT311 consists of 256 MB of RAM for running applications and multi-tasking between them, and consists of 512 MB of internal memory for installing applications. The storage is expandable to 32 GB via the use of an external MicroSD card for storing multimedia items such as images, videos, audios etc.

The screen size of the Motorola FIRE XT311 is 2.8-Inches and is a TFT capacitive display, with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, with a pixel per inch (ppi) density of 143. The dimensions of the unlocked cellphone are 116.5 x 58 x 13.5 mm, with a weight of 110 grams.
The phone features an 3.15 Megapixel rear-facing camera, which is capable of capturing decent photographs, at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The unlocked cellphone is capable of recording videos of 480p at 24 fps. A VGA front-facing camera is provided for video chatting and clicking selfies.
