LG Gw990 is an unlocked cell phone that works on a GSM/ HSPA technology and supports class 10 GPRS and class 10 EDGE. The phone was announced in January 2010. However, due to certain reasons, LG cancelled the launch of this product and this handset never came into the market. Following are some of the features that the phone was to have:
Body and Display:
The mobile phone handset has the dimensions of 5.78 x 2.53 x 0.47 inches. The weight of the phone is not known. The users have to insert a mini SIM card in the phone to make it function. By this statement, it is meant that you will have to put in a mini SIM card by any of the telecom service operators. By doing so, you will be able to make and receive the phone calls and text messages without any issue. It has a TFT touchscreen with a screen to body ratio of 60.6%. It is an unlocked cellphone that has the pixel density of 480 x 1024 pixels.
Memory and Platform:
MeeGo is the operating system that is installed in LG GW990. The phone works on the Intel Atom Pineview processor. It comes with the internal memory of 512 MB you can insert a MicroSD card of up to 32 GB to increase the storage capacity and store more data.
If it would have been released in the market, LG might have to withdraw the product after some time as the OS used in the phone might face the problems with the demand in the market.
