HTC Explorer/Pico (Unlocked Quadband) GSM Cell Phone
The HTC Explorer/Pico was released in 2011 in the month of February. HTC released the device as an entry-level smartphone. When it was released, it was a strong performer among the low-budget segment of smartphones, and consisted of a friendly interface, along with a responsive touchscreen display.
Software & Hardware
The device was released with the Android Gingerbread v2.3, and is backed with Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon S1 Cortex A5, clocked at 600 MHz, while the graphics are being powered by the Adreno 200 chipset. The HTC Explorer/Pico features 512 MB of RAM for running apps and multi-tasking between them, with an internal storage of 512 MB for installing applications. The memory is further expandable via the use of an external SD card, and the memory can be expanded up to 32 Gigabytes, which can be used to store images, audios, videos etc.
Design & Display
The screen size of the unlocked cellphone is 3.2 Inches, and it is a capacitive display panel with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, with a pixel per inch density of 180. The dimensions of the unlocked cellphone are 102.8 x 57.2 x 12.9 mm, and its weight is around 108 grams.
The HTC Explorer/Pico features a 3.15 MP rear camera, capable of clicking photographs of resolution 2048 x 1536 pixels. The camera of the device is decent, and it capture fine amount of details. It can also record videos of 480p. There is no secondary front-facing camera made available in the device for taking selfies and video chatting.
