The HTC Desire U Dual was released in the month of January, 2013. At the time of the release, with a screen of 4.0 inches, it qualified to be one of the best smartphones available in the market. The phone comes with pre-installed Beats Audio support, which made the sound clear and loud.

The phone runs on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 Operating System, powered by a Dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, and the chip used in the device is Snapdragon 210. Adreno 405 powers the Graphical Processing Unit of the device. The phone is packed with a Li-ion 1650 mAh battery to last longer. The HTC Desire U Dual consists of 512 MB of RAM for multi-tasking, with an internal storage of 2 GB. The storage is expandable to 32 GB via the use of an external MicroSD card.

The screen size of the HTC Desire U Dual 4.0-Inches and is a TFT capacitive display, having a resolution of 480 X 800, at a pixel per inch density of 231. The Dimensions of the phone are 118.5 x 62.5 x 9.3 mm, with a weight of 114 grams.
The phone features a 2 MP back camera, which is capable of taking good quality photos, and can click photos of 2594 x 1944 pixels. The phone is capable of recording 480p videos at 30 frames per second. There is no front camera provided. The rear-facing camera supports LED flash for taking photos in low light conditions.
