HTC ChaCha (Unlocked Quadband) GSM Cell Phone
The HTC ChaCha was released in 2011 in the month of February. The device was a low-end device featuring a QWERTY keypad for an easier experience of typing as well as the Android Operating system for better performance.
Software & Hardware
The device was released with the Android Gingerbread v2.3 Operating System, with the HTC Sense UI 2.1 running on top of it. It is backed with an 800 MHz processor. The HTC ChaCha comes with an internal storage of 512 MB for installing applications and 512 MB of RAM for running applications and multi-tasking between them. The memory is expandable via the use of an external SD card for installing media such as audio, video etc. The phone is packed with a Li-ion 1250 mAh capacity battery for a prolonged battery life.
Design & Display
The screen size of the unlocked cellphone is 2.6 Inches, and it is a TFT capacitive display panel with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, with a pixel per inch density of 222. The dimensions of the unlocked cellphone are 114.4 x 64.6 x 10.7 mm, and its weight is around 120 grams.
The HTC ChaCha features a 5 MP rear camera, capable of clicking photographs of resolution 2592 x 1944 pixels. The camera of the device is great, and it captures fine amount of details. It can also record videos of 480p at 30fps. A secondary front-facing VGA camera is made available in the device for clicking photographs and for video chatting.
