The device was released with the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 with the HTC Sense UI running on top of it. It is backed with a 1 GHz Scorpion processor, with the graphical processing unit being powered by the Adreno 200. The HTC 7 Trophy comes with an internal storage of 8 GB for installing applications and 576 MB of RAM for running applications and multi-tasking between them. The memory is expandable via the use of an external SD card for installing media such as audio, video etc. The phone is packed with a Li-ion 1300 mAh capacity battery for a prolonged battery life.

The HTC 7 Trophy features a 5 MP rear camera, capable of clicking photographs of resolution 2592 x 1944 pixels. The camera of the device is great, and it captures fine amount of details. It can also record videos of 720p. There is no secondary front-facing camera available in the device for clicking selfies and recording videos.
